I have lived in Glendalough for four years as part of a Mercy Community. During this time I have worked in our Hermitage Centre. While working here, I am privileged to welcome guests, join in prayer, listen and accompany people on their spiritual journey. In this I witness how lives are enriched and people find peace when they take time out to rest and be still.
My experience of life, of Mercy Community and training in Human Communication, Facilitation, Psychotherapy and Spiritual Direction assists me as I attempt to be present and listen to others.
My desire is to enable others to experience Love/the Divine/the Spirit of Jesus Christ at the centre of their lives in and through their own experience. I believe that this experience, as well as the communal and liturgical dimensions of their spiritual life, will change their consciousness forever.
I am growing in awareness of the sacredness of the ‘ordinary’. We are invited to ‘crack open the cinders of every day and find God glowing within.
Working in Glendalough enables me to grow through the beauty and goodness I meet in others. ‘Christ loves in me’ is the motto I chose at my Religious Profession. It both inspires and challenges my life.
